Anyone who has never been to this locals spot yet better get it together. Their chinese chicken salad is famous and delicious. Desserts are decadant and beautiful. For a yummy lunch or easy dinner this is an awsome choice.

This restaurant is amazing. Fork has a new and extremely talented chef who has been there for a few months. In his time at Fork, I've eaten there 7 times. There is an early bird special, before 6:15pm on weeknights; 3 courses for $20...terrific value. For the best value of all time, go for the 5-course tasting menu for $42. At that price there is more money for wine! Wine list is hand-picked by the owners, and they are able to describe each bottle, help pair the wines with the food, etc. The service is the best in Marin, yet very friendly and knowledgeable. Though I've been eating at Fork so often lately, there are daily additions to the menu, which makes it easy to try two or three new items each visit. It's no longer a "small plate" restaurant, which makes the cost of the food even more valuable than before. 3 courses are plenty for most people, but I like to eat all night, so for me the 5-course is absolutely perfect! Carrot flan {which would satisfy as a dessert as well as it does as an appetizer}, sweetbread stuffed quail, house-smoked salmon, 5-course vegetarian menu upon request, butterscotch/vanilla bean pudding...need I say more?

House of Prime Rib

This is a classic "old styled"restuarant. The atmosphere is wonderful and it's always packed. I'm not big on prime rib but it's always a great choice to take someone from out of town. *I might add the prime rib is really good. They serve their house chopped salad with house dressing first and I might add it is awesome!!! Please remember not to fill up on salad as the meal is huge, including Yorkshire pudding. You need to pace yourself and you definately will be bringing leftovers home. The service is great, decor in traditional english. I live in the city and it's one of my favorite spots. Your out of town guests will not be disappointed unless they are vegans.
